The International Teaching & Learning Invention Innovation Competition (iTaLiiC 2025) is held biennially by the Center for Flexible Learning (CFL) at UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang which was established in 2020. This competition serves as a platform for students, educators, and professionals to showcase their inventions and innovations specifically related to teaching and learning. It aligns with the Malaysian government’s policies to promote research and supports the Sustainable Development Goals. Conducted virtually, the competition features products presented as Virtual Posters. Its goal is to help participants enhance the commercialization of their ideas and innovations. Judging is carried out by academic experts with extensive experience in innovation, research, and commercialization. The theme for iTaLiiC 2025 is “Transforming Education with Emerging Technologies: Shaping the Future of Digital Learning“
OBJECTIVES
INNOVATION CULTURE
To promote an innovation culture among students, academicians, and researchers at the local and international level.
NURTURE INVENTION AND INNOVATION
To nurture invention and innovation towards teaching and learning in various field.
ENHANCE VISIBILITY
To enhance visibility of researcher and inventor locally and internationally.
SCOPE
STEM
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is an educational and professional field that focuses on these four disciplines to encourage innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
GAMIFICATION
Gamification is the use of game-like elements in non-game contexts to engage, motivate, and encourage participation. It applies mechanics such as points, rewards, levels, and challenges to activities like learning, work, marketing, and fitness.
e-LEARNING
E-learning (electronic learning) is the use of digital technology to deliver education and training outside of a traditional classroom. It allows learners to access courses, lessons, and educational materials online through computers, tablets, or smartphones.
SOCIAL SCIENCES
The social sciences field studies human behavior, societies, and interactions. It focuses on understanding how people think, act, and organize themselves in different cultural, political, and economic settings.
*MicroCredential and MOOC projects are NOT ACCEPTED.
SUBMISSION & JUDGING CRITERIA
POSTER SUBMISSION
Each project will submit a A3 Size POSTER in softcopy (in portrait mode) that contains all related information stated in JUDGING CRITERIA.
Poster must included iTaLiiC 2025 logo and information related to participants.

RESULT AND AWARD
The results will be announced virtually on June 26, 2025. All participants will receive an e-certificate of participation, while those who meet the criteria will be awarded an e-certificate of achievement (Gold, Silver, or Bronze). Special awards will be presented to the top performers in each category.
*Medal awards can be purchased separately after the announcement of results.
